Rigaku (Osmic) Max-flux Confocal Optics

XRF has three Rigaku (formerly known as Osmic Max-flux) Confocal Multi-layer optics to monochromatize and focus the x-rays produced by the copper rotating anode generators. These optics were manufactured by Rigaku Americas and have been specifically made to suit the data being collected (Types: Blue, Purple and SAXS).

Facility Information
Established in 1993, the XRF has served over 200+ users, including 30+ PIs from 9 universities and has produced 80+ publications. All users are required to subscribe to the Xrayusers maillist.


Boot Camp
For three week period in early August XRF runs a Core Facility Practical Training Course (Boot Camp) for all new graduate students. More information about 2015 Boot Camp is available here.
